New To Super Hair Removal? Here’s What You Need To Know

Hair removal has now become highly sophisticated – and going hair-free has never been more effortless with the help of laser treatment for hair removal!

If you are planning to join the others who now swear by the treatment, you might have some questions of your own – which is why we have come prepared with the answers to clear your doubts.

#1: What is the difference between IPL and SHR?

Many patients tend to get SHR (Super Hair Removal) treatment confused with another popular laser treatment, IPL hair removal treatment. In fact, SHR is an upgrade from the older IPL machines – and are able to deliver faster, more precise and powerful shots in order to achieve optimal results with every session.

Although both treatments work with light energy to destroy hair follicles – there are distinct differences between the two that yields different results. The most notable difference is that SHR is safe to use on all skin types, while IPL isn’t recommended for those with darker skin. SHR is also a much more comfortable experience that offers faster results and the ability to cover larger areas – and we are proud to offer these machines!

#2: Are there any potential side effects?

With every treatment, there are definitely side effects.

While SHR treatment is considered to be a safe treatment that is well-tolerated – there is still the risk of burns, redness and discoloration for some patients – although the likelihood is very low when done with experienced professionals.

Adhering to a strict skincare routine to keep your skin protected and moisturized is the best way to minimize any side effects and maximize your treatment results!

#3: Is it a must to go through the entire treatment plan?

Many customers often make the mistake of not completing their treatment plan, and this can be detrimental to their results. While SHR is built to be a semi-permanent hair removal treatment – it still needs several sessions spaced at appropriate times in order to achieve long-lasting results.

Because the treatment is still highly dependent on the individual’s specific hair growth cycle, you want to make sure that each session is focused towards the hairs that are currently in the growth phase. After each treatment, your hair is expected to fall out within the next 3 weeks, and it is during this period where many customers are tempted to stop coming back.

On average, you will need around 6 – 8 treatments to start seeing noticeable results, as every session is expected to target only 20% – 30% of the hair follicles.

Especially for the ladies, hair growth is primarily caused by hormonal changes – which means that it is still possible for your hair to grow back. However, this can be easily solved by coming back for maintenance treatments every once or twice a year.

#4: Is treatment expensive?

Contrary to what many believe, SHR treatment is actually a very affordable solution that although requires a heavy investment upfront – actually saves you more in the long-term as compared to shaving or waxing!

Since it will require at least 6 months to start seeing huge improvements, SHR treatment requires both the willingness to invest and commit to the process. Depending on the number of treatment areas, and how many sessions it will require for you to see results – this will affect the cost of your entire treatment.

We currently treat over 22 areas on the body, including sensitive areas such as Brazilian hair removal! With attractive packages and monthly promotions to help our customers save on their hair removal journey – whatever your budget, you can be sure to find a plan that that fits your budget!

#5: Does it matter which specialist I go to?

Yes, of course it does!

Since SHR treatment requires a deep understanding and execution of an intricate technology tailored to each specific individual – it is important that the specialist you go to has a wealth of knowledge and experience on the laser itself.

Our staff are specially trained to ensure that you get the most out of every treatment session, and never compromise on your results and safety.

We offer patch tests to our clients to ensure that they are compatible to work with our machines, as well as offer a FREE consultation – if you have any more questions regarding our SHR treatment, contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you with them!
